We’ve been down this road before and here we go again. Hopefully she is ready this time… I know I am. Two kids in diapers is rough and expensive. We are trying the naked approach. I will keep her unclothed for 3 days working on pottying. Wish us luck!
It’s True. I love it. I am a 27 year old wife and mother of two and I use Snapchat on the regular.
I, like many, thought it was just for tweens and teens to send nude pics to each other but, it’s not! I enjoy sending goofy pics to my friends and receiving silly ones back from them!
Why I love Snapchat:
1. I can send goofy pictures to friends and then, it disappears…. as long as nobody takes a screenshot
2. I can send pictures of different aliments, have my friends tell me if it’s cancer or not and then, it disappears.
3. You can send pics/videos when you are intoxicated and then, it disappears! No embarrassing moments when your friend/husband decides to show everyone! (This will come in handy when I am not nursing anymore and I can drink a few)
4. It is fun to send some sexy pictures to my husband without worrying about them being saved forever!
This week we’ve had breakfast for dinner twice and it’s only Wednesday! It’s a nice change because sometimes I feel like I cook the same thing over and over again.
Monday night we had a breakfast casserole. It was the bomb!
Frozen biscuit breakfast casserole
1 lb breakfast sausage cooked and drained
2 cups milk
8 frozen biscuits, slightly thawed and split
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375. Spray your pan with cooking spray
Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Cut each biscuit in half . Place one half of each biscuit in baking dish.
Top with half of the cooked sausage and half of the cheese.
Place the remaining biscuit halves on top of cheese and cover with remaining sausage and cheese. Pour egg mixture over biscuits.
Note: I have made this at night because I had all the ingredients and I didn’t let it refrigerate. It was one of those nights were I forgot to take anything out so I threw this together… It was still awesome!! I do recommend for it be in the fridge for at least an hour and preferably overnight for best results.
Tonight we had Blueberry Bacon pancakes!
Yes, that is correct. Fresh blueberries and bacon cooked into the pancakes… I made my husband a smiley face pancake with hair!
They were awesome as usual. Sweet and salty and DELICIOUS!
Breakfast casserole adapted from Plain Chicken
It was an interesting weekend… mostly good stuff. I went to Coffee like we do every Saturday…. One day I’ll post about what exactly Saturday coffee entails… Anyway, I got a call from my friend Courtney telling me she was having a BBQ at her Mom’s house, so we went. Livvy got in the pool and played, which was nice. She always sleeps good after she plays in water! Being the Mom, I didn’t have the best time. My husband drank and played and I watched everyone and breastfed. My girls were happy though and that is what matters most!
I have awesome friends
Courtney called me up after we got home and asked if her and a couple friends could come over. She knew I didn’t have the best time earlier in the day and wanted me to have some fun. How awesome is that?!! Livvy was staying the night with her Honey (my Mom) and so I told them to come on over. I pumped and got the little one to sleep so I could enjoy myself! It was so much fun and definitely what I needed! Thankfully T2 sleeps through the night, so I had couple beers and it was lovely. Girl talk, beer, laughter and music… Just what this Mama needed! I even got to sleep in until 7:30 the next morning!! Woohoo!! Yes, it is VERY sad that sleeping until 7:30 makes me happy. Motherhood!
My husband’s late night snack…
I have to say that my husband is a damn good Daddy! He loves his girls and I am so thankful for that!
Yes, my toddler is a goofball deluxe! Couldn’t get a pic and the one I almost got her eyes were closed!! At least they are accurate pictures of what my life is really like! 😉
Also, he is an awesome Uncle who lets his nieces and daughter ride on his back! Yep, my kid always with some article of clothing off!
So thankful for my Husband and friends this weekend!!
It’s so nice to go outside and play in the sun! I took both girls outside today. Livvy didn’t nap so she was extra fun and didn’t listen well at all. Tinky Two just chilled out in her rocker while Livvy played. It’s crazy being home with both of my girls this summer but, I am soaking up all the moments I can… even when they aren’t so pleasant. One day I will look back and miss these days!
When we came in from outside I came up with the brilliant idea for us all 3 to take a shower together. It’s safe to say I won’t be doing that again! Livvy got soap in her eyes and Ayla didn’t like it when she was even the least bit cold. We got out and I got the girls dressed and Ayla went to sleep while nursing. Livvy was hanging out on the couch so I went downstairs to throw in some laundry and when I came back up this is what I found:
Thank you sweet Jesus!
I love my girl but, she needs a little bit of rest and it’s rare when they are both asleep at the same time during the day.
The best parts about today:
1. Fun in Sun makes babies sleepy
2. Having a few moments by myself!
3. Watching my angels sleep so peacefully.
4. It’s Friday and for the past 10 years EVERY single Friday (ok, we’ve missed some Fridays but, if we know we are going to we try to make up for it on Thursday or Saturday… we’re awesome like that) my husband and I eat Chipotle. It’s our thing!
