I can’t believe…

My baby is 6 months old!

image

Yesterday she became the big 6 months… time flies!

image

Her stats:
Weight 14 lbs 10 oz 25% for her age
Length 26 in. 75% for her age

image

OMG! For being a preemie she is catching up fast!  I have a feeling she is going to be tall like her sister!  (2yrs old 3T are getting small)

To think she was born 5 weeks early and was in the NICU for 9 days!

Just a couple days old

Craziness… It seems so long ago but just like yesterday. My little 5lb baby is getting so big and is the happiest baby I have ever met in my life!!

It’s with the girls because somehow the hubsters got out of all the weekend photos but we do love him lots!

You’re the only ten I see…

Are you from Tennessee? ‘Cause you’re the only TEN I SEE!

I thought I say 10 quick things about my trip to Tennessee last week.

1. I was sent to Tennessee last week to do some training for my new job. BTW I am super excited to get back into the workforce part-time!

image

2. Since the company I am now working for wanted me to fly out of state for training… I did. I hadn’t been on a plane in a while and I was nervous. Luckily, the flight was good and I made it safe.

3. It was hard to leave my babies for 2 days but I did it, and they were just fine. I gave them lots of kisses and my hubby too!

4. The company I work for is very accommodating to breastfeeding mothers. They had a mother’s room for me to be able to pump while I was there and they let me break as much as I needed.

5. I have family in Tennessee and was able to meet up with some of them. So nice to meet up with family that you don’t get to see that often.
image

6. Nashville is a beautiful place and had lots of fun things to look at. My Great Uncle took me around the city and showed me some cool places.

6. My cousin Joe is a barber. He owns his own shop and is pretty awesome! I was able to visit it… pretty cool. I would of course recommend any guy looking to for that old school barber shop experience to stop by. Not many places do it like he does anymore.

7. Monell’s. Family style southern cooking. AMAZING! If you are in Nashville you need to go there! The restaurant is in an old house. So good.

8. The Cupcake Collection. We heard so many wonderful things about this cupcake shop so we had to go check it out. We got there close to the end of the day so they didn’t have as big of a selection as I would have liked. That being said… what I did have was awesome! It was a nice treat to bring home to the family. My husband liked the sweet potato one the best and I liked the strawberry. I got a red velvet and triple chocolate as well. They were all yummy.

9. I totally got an alcoholic drink while out of town. I’m a Mom and I’m nursing so this was a treat! Blueberry margarita… one drink and I didn’t even have to skip a pump!

10. Overall, my trip was pretty great. I’m excited about my new career and I was happy to get out of town for a couple of days. I truly missed my girls though. Nothing tops…

Five on Friday!

I’m linking up with Darci over at The Good Life Blog for Five on Friday and Lauren at Lauren Elizabeth for H54F

1. I had a great time this past weekend meeting up the ladies to Celebrate Jenny’s birthday! It’s nice get out with friends and not have your kids hanging all over you. We all need some adult time every once in a while and it was wonderful.

2. I started a part-time job and I am loving it. I haven’t worked since right before I had Ayla. It’s been nice to actually shower and wear nice clothes again. It’s easy to get into a habit of being just a Mom. Somedays I am just to busy to worry about myself and having a job makes me take time to look and smell good! When you look good you feel good!

Selfie... sometimes I dust off my make-up!

Selfie…

3. I’m going out of town for a couple of days for training… in Nashville. I’m excited and nervous. Excited to train, get out of town and to sleep by myself! Nervous to leave my girls. I will miss them so much!

4. My babies are just getting so big and it’s just sad. I want them to grow as they should but it seems like it goes so fast. I just want it all to slow down.

5. It’s breastfeeding month… so in honor of that:

Five on Friday Birthday Edition!

I’m linking up with Darci over at The Good Life Blog for Five on Friday and Lauren at Lauren Elizabeth for H54F…My birthday Edition!

1. Today is my 28th birthday. Saying that sounds weird to me.  I’ll be thirty in two years and that just seems unreal! So far life has been pretty good to me.

2. This will be the first year in a long time that I’m not having a summer party! My brother’s birthday is the 28th and we usually have a party together… not this year! He moved to Texas with my oldest brother and I am not organized enough yet with 2 young ones. We usually…

3. Have an adult pinata at our summer party. It’s always a big hit. We put lots of fun things in it and it’s fun to act like a kid and see who busts it open! Everyone makes a mad dash to pick up all the goodies…. as adults we might actually be worse than the kids.

The usual suspects:
Mini bottles of liquor
Lighters
Slim jims
Chap-stick
Some sort of candy
Plastic shot glasses
Packets of Tylenol (or other pain reliever)
Mini cigars

In the past, before kids, we put some very adult items in it like condoms and little lubes…. we’re just not that cool anymore!

I have also done a 30 birthday one for my oldest brother and put growing old items in with the usual. I added tuck pads and antacids.

4. I am going out this weekend. This will be my first night away from T2. We are going to go out to dance and have a few drinks and then will end up back at my house for more socializing. I’m pretty excited! My Mom is taking both girls overnight. She’s awesome!

5. I’m getting new dishes for my birthday! I’m getting Corelle. They are inexpensive and very durable. I bought more expensive ones when first got married and they are chipped and not looking so good. Growing up we always had Corelle and they didn’t break easily and that is what I need with my little ones! Getting household things for your birthday definitely means your an adult!

I love Snapchat.

It’s True. I love it. I am a 27 year old wife and mother of two and I use Snapchat on the regular.

Snapchat-7667

I, like many, thought it was just for tweens and teens to send nude pics to each other but, it’s not! I enjoy sending goofy pics to my friends and receiving silly ones back from them!

Why I love Snapchat:

1. I can send goofy pictures to friends and then, it disappears…. as long as nobody takes a screenshot

2. I can send pictures of different aliments, have my friends tell me if it’s cancer or not and then, it disappears.

3.  You can send pics/videos when you are intoxicated and then, it disappears!  No embarrassing moments when your friend/husband decides to show everyone! (This will come in handy when I am not nursing anymore and I can drink a few)

4. It is fun to send some sexy pictures to my husband without worrying about them being saved forever!
